MR2 Hakata
The MR2 Hakata was made drawing inspiration from car culture, using materials often used on modified cars, taking inspiration from the Toyota MR2 with its iconic side vents, and running with the Japanese car theme we went with a laser thin Hakata blade forged from stainless steel clad, Shiro 2 high carbon steel core San Mai.
Blade length 6.5”, height 2” at heel, width 1/8” taper to zero.
This blade lands firmly in the “laser” category of knives, it is thin throughout, with a gentle 36” hollow S grind and a zeroed out edge.
The handle is made using carbon fiber for the bolster, a white g10 frame with blue and white g10 scales.
This knife does need to be handled with care, but in turn will provide you with absolutely effortless slicing.
